From Those Who've Attended

"I came in thinking I understood my finances fairly well. The self-assessment showed me I had several real gaps — particularly around how I was handling insurance and debt together. It was a little uncomfortable, but useful."

"The Real Estate program was what I needed before making a major decision. I thought I understood the costs of buying a condo — I didn't. The transfer fees and tax calculations alone changed how I was budgeting. Three sessions felt right."

"I've spoken to financial advisors before, but they always seemed to be steering me towards something. Thornvale was different — no products, no agenda, just working through my actual situation. The integrated report gave me a real place to start."

Nonthaburi · Integrated Review

"The pacing was something I appreciated. We covered the mortgage session and I had two weeks to think about it before the next meeting. That time to reflect made the learning stick in a way online courses never have for me."

"My only note is that I wished there had been a bit more time on the investment section in the integrated review — but given how thoroughly everything else was covered, that's a small thing. The overall value was clear."

Pathum Thani · Integrated Review

"I did the self-assessment expecting a quick checklist. It was considerably more thoughtful than that. The section on financial habits and attitudes surprised me — it opened questions I hadn't thought to ask before. Very worthwhile."

How Participants Have Used What They Learned

Challenge

A Bangkok-based professional in her late thirties wanted to purchase a condominium but had no clear picture of the real financial commitment involved — particularly fees, ongoing costs, and how this would interact with her existing savings.

Approach

She enrolled in the Real Estate Financial Literacy program. Over three sessions, she worked through mortgage structure, total cost of ownership, and a readiness assessment of her own financial position relative to the property she had in mind.

Outcome

She identified that her initial budget was approximately 15% short of the genuine all-in cost. She adjusted her plan, extended her savings period by 8 months, and proceeded with a purchase she felt confident was financially sound. Duration: 6 weeks.

Challenge

A self-employed individual in his forties had never examined all aspects of his finances at once. Income, spending, insurance, informal debt, and a small portfolio of assets existed in his mind as separate, unconnected things.

Approach

He enrolled in the Integrated Financial Review. Over five sessions, each area of his financial life was mapped, and then reviewed in relation to the others. The integrated report drew connections he had not previously seen.

Outcome

He identified that his insurance coverage was inadequate relative to his income situation, and that a personal loan carried a higher effective rate than he had understood. The prioritised action list gave him a sequence to work through. Duration: 10 weeks.

Challenge

A couple in their early thirties wanted to understand where they were financially before making any major decisions. Neither had formal financial education, and they felt uncertain about basic questions around savings vehicles and debt management.

Approach

Both completed the Financial Self-Assessment Workshop individually, then compared their learning paths. The gaps identified were different for each person — the program's individual focus made this possible.

Outcome

Each left with a personalised learning plan and a clearer sense of their own financial knowledge strengths and weaknesses. They subsequently enrolled in the Real Estate program together. Duration: 3 weeks each.
